Free DVD - Don't Look Now
Another weekend, another film freebie - but a very good one. The film given away this time is Nicolas Roeg's Don't Look Now from 1973, and the paper giving it away is Sunday's Observer (9th April).
A strange and (eventually) slightly disturbing film with Donald Sutherland as an architect (Baxter) and Julie Christie his wife - their young daughter drowns while out playing.
Jump to Venice, where the couple encounter a pair of sisters, one of whom claims psychic powers and to have communicated with their dead daughter. Then Baxter believes he sees his dead daughter running around Venice - and also sees flashes of his own future.
A very odd film and more than worth the price of the paper. No idea if there's any extras on the disc - I'd imagine not.
