A new Roger Vivier shop recently opened in London, which means that you can now get your hands on a pair of Belle Vivier shoes. These iconic shoes, worn by Catherine Deneuve in Belle de Jour in 1967, are just the thing for any retro babe.
Originally designed for an Yves Saint Laurent show in 1965, they achieved fame after the movie appearance, with demand after the films release resulting in Vivier selling 50 pairs a day to customers including Jackie Kennedy and Marlene Dietrich.
The classic buckled pump design has been updated for the modern market by Bruno Frisoni, the company’s creative director and is now available in a range of colours – you can grab yourself a pair from the new Sloane Street store if you have £360 to spare.
