Algol TV - stylish viewing

Algol Drop into your local electrical retailer today and you'll be hit with a wall of flat silver TVs, which might give you a great picture, but aren't particularly stylish. That's not the case with the Algol TV.

The Algol portable TV, designed by Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper in the early 60s, retains the original's unusual (and ahead of its time) design, but does update the inner workings for the modern market.

The new version features a black matrix tube for outstanding picture quality, a broadband loudspeaker, 100 storable programmes, AST automatic search, video input and headphones output.

At £470, it's going to set you back a bit more than your new Sony portable, but you're getting cool design as well as something to watch.
