We’ve already covered one Leica retro digital camera in the past with the Leica D-LUX 2. But a hefty price tag of around £550 was a little off-putting. There’s now a cool "budget" version in the shops from the high end camera maker – the Leica C-LUX 1 digital camera.
First, let’s get one thing straight – if you shop around and compare features, you’ll get more for your money elsewhere. But you’ll not get a more hip digital camera.
For the record, it does still have a decent sent of features. It’s a 6 megapixel camera with a 2.5-inch LCD screen, along with a range of shooting modes, a high-sensitivity setting for flash-free photography, image stabilising to avoid any blurring and a Leica wide-to-telephoto zoom lens equivalent to a 28-102mm in the 35mm format.
It’s available in silver or black, with a price tag of around £379.
