There’s nothing that quite says the 70s more than fake wood panelling. And it’s not gone away – you can even buy an iPod add-on with a fake wood cover – the Podblaster.
It might be big on novelty, but it’s also quite useful if you’re an iPod owner, blasting out your tunes like the ghetto blaster it tries to mimic. Just pop your iPod into your iPod holster (fits regular, mini and nano) and connect to the built-in 3-watt amplifier (ok, so "blast" was a little strong) to play your tunes through the weather-resistant speakers.
It requires 4x AA batteries for power and retails for $60 (around £35).
