Alexander Girard limited edition Wooden Dolls
Alongside Charles and Ray Eames as well as George Nelson, Alexander Girard was one of the key figures in post-War American design. Although best known for his textiles, these Alexander Girard Wooden Dolls are a symbol of his real passion, being limited edition replicas of Dolls he created for his own home.
They're inspired by his love for the popular art of South America, Asia and East Europe. Half decorative element, half toy, there's six models available, each made of solid firwood and with a hand painted finish. Each Doll also comes with a brochure and in a printed wooden box.
They retail for $145 each (around £80).
