Retro dial telephones for that 70s look

Retro_telephone Every house had one in the UK in the 70s - then they went away as the trimphone and digital handsets appeared. But if you want that vintage look in your home, you can pick up an authentic dial telephone again from Firebox.

We have one in our home - and it has its good points and bad points. On the plus side, it's got a very loud ring that transports you back to childhood everytime someone calls. And it's a good, weighty handset, extremely comfortable on your ear. And it's great to slam down in a temper. The downside? When you get to an automated answering service, you're stuck. There's no hash key on a dial.

These newly-renovated models will just plug into your phone socket for instant use and come in a choice of colours, including black, red, two-tone pink and a target design. Each one retails for £59.95.

These are classic pieces of history. What other telephones will still be working 30 years later. Worth every penny.
