Banal Extra Matitoni - clothes stand with giant pencils
I know very little about this piece of design, except that this Matitoni clothes and hat stand looks like a pot of giant pencils standing in a pot.
Further investigation shows it was designed by Philippe Peyridieu and manufactured by Banal Extra, with the stand made of a mix of aluminium, iron (or possibly steel) and rubber. It stands 180cm high (around 6ft), which means it's likely to dominate the room of your choice, but should be a talking point for just about every visitor.
It retails in the UK for £250.
