Poeten Sofa by Finn Juhl

It might be well over 60 years old, but the Poeten Sofa by Danish designer Finn Juhl is still an incredibly eye-catching piece of furniture.

It was made by Juhl for his own home in 1941 - and I'm guessing that home was tall and not that spacious, judging by the proportions of the sofa. If that's your place too, this current version is incredibly well-made, with hand-sewn upholstery and legs available in several different types of wood.

Sold in a choice of fabric shades, the Poeten is available to order for £4,598.
