Anita’s Vintage Fashion Fair, 16th March 2008

Anita’s Vintage Fashion Fair has been running regularly in London for a few years now, starting off with bi-monthly fairs at the Battersea Arts Centre and expanding more recently to include sales in Notting Hill.

The next fair takes place on Sunday 16th March at the 20th Century Theatre in Notting Hill. The fair typically will have around 65 stalls covering a wide range of periods, from 18th century to 1970s, buttons and trims up to full costumes. Its not the cheapest place to buy clothes (you won't find charity shop bargain prices here), but the stallholders know their stuff and at least it is all genuinely vintage, rather than just second-hand.

The fairs are popular with fashion designers, stylists and celebrities so its best to arrive early before the best things sell. Admission is £5. Further details can be found on the Anita’s Vintage Fashion Fair website.
