Thanks to Cath for flagging up this rather cool house for sale in the US – and if you’re in UK, note the price of this Hudson mid-century house for an example of how inflated our prices are right now.
The house was built in 1955 and still packs that mid-century vibe (which you can hopefully see in the images here and over the page). It’s a 2725 sq. ft. house in three acres of land, with five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a tennis court and barn. And in terms of location, it borders a 28-acre bird sanctuary and the Hudson River, as well as being just a 45-minute train ride to New York City.
If you want the details, check out the website for all the nuts and bolts, plus a few more images. And if you fancy it, the house is for sale $1,125,000, which is around £574,000. Not cheap – but think about such an idyllic location in commuting distance from London. I’m guessing you might have to double it.
