Isamu Noguchi 1940s Cylinder Lamp
The Cylinder Lamp by Isamu Noguchi is every bit the understated classic.
Designed back in 1945, but looking very 1950s in style, the Cylinder Lamp stands on organically-shaped wooden legs, with a transparent plastic shade on top. The look has been copied on numerous occasions, but you can't beat an original.
Sized at 40cm x 180cm and now remade by Vitra, it retails for £149.
