Furniture for children these days is quite often made of plastic, so it can endure the knocks and bangs from little ones. If you are looking for something with a bit more character and style than the modern offerings, then Vervolgenjaren in the Netherlands are currently selling this beautiful 1950s Child’s Chair.

Designed by Kristian Vedel for the Danish manufactuer Orskow & Co, it is an original piece form 1957. It is adjustable to fit the height of your child, with the adjustable pieces held in place by tension so there are no nasty bolts or nails that could injure a youngster.

So it looks good and is still practical for children, but there are a couple of downsides. Firstly price is on application which usually means it is expensive and secondly as it is vintage, there is only one available. Visit the Vervelogenjaren website to enquire further.
