Bobbin Bicycles launches new store - with an Alexander Girard-themed bike

Girard2 We love Bobbin Bicycles - and it seems like we're not the only ones, with Bobbin Bicycles upsizing into its first retail shop from 1st October.

The new store is close to the Angel Islington, specifically at 19 Arlington Way, London EC1R 1UY, offering up a range of super-cool retro bikes, along with luggage, Italian leather panniers, reflective kit, bright rain capes and just about anything else for the stylish cyclist.

And if you get down in the first week, you can check out possibly the coolest bike of them all - the Electra Amsterdam Girard Madonna Bicycle. As you might have guessed, it's inspired by Eames collaborator Alexander Girard, with the saddle and grips in a pale blue and white 50s Girard print, coupled with a red powder-coated frame, pale blue rims, dress guards and two distinctive Girard folk characters. It's not for sale as yet, but you could always check out when it might be available by popping into the store.

See a close-up look of the bike over the page.
