Yes, the most sought-after bit of home technology around is finally available to buy – but not at the so-called exclusive retailer.
You can actually buy the Colombo Phone online now at Colloco. It’s due into Selfridges stores any day now, but if you don’t live near one, Colloco assures us that it has stock available and ready to ship in both orange (aka coral) and white, as well as single and double packs. But that stock is limited initially.
The price is exactly the same as quoted by Selfridges – £39.99 for the single unit, £59.99 for the twin pack. If you want one first, I’d get one ordered now.
I still don’t understand – can one of those in the ‘double pack’ be used as a base station? I mean, do the phones “talk” to each other, or is the double pack just a double pack – two phones for each of which you need separate BT ports?
Received a white twin pack in the post this morning from Selfridges. Yet to plug in, but it looks great. The second unit does not require to be plugged into a phone line. And it does have an answerphone built in to the base unit.
