50th anniversary Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair Miniatures
To celebrate 50 years of production, the Egg Chair has shrunk - re-appearing in the guise of the Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair Miniatures.
Not just a model, the Miniatures are replicas in every way, with both materials and production processes the same as the ones used by Fritz Hansen for the full size seats. Indeed, the full sized version was 3D scanned and digitised to get the proportions of this 1:6 scale model perfect.
The only thing different is the finish, with the mini chairs offered in plain cloths or 'designer' variants from the likes of Paul Smith and Kenzo. Check out the official site for the full range and if you like what you see, Skandium is selling the chairs for around £240.
