Nike 1970s Cortez trainers reissued

37 years after they first appeared, the Nike Cortez trainers are back on the market, looking every bit as cool in 2009.

First seen in 1972, this lightweight athlete's shoe was one of the shoes responsible for putting Nike on the map, offering a mix of mesh and suede for the upper and a lightweight synthetic sole.

The new version is true to the original, right down to a 70s-style colour scheme, throwing in a vintage effect and vintage box as a couple of finishing touches. A limited edition, you can pre-order now for £55.
