Beyond the Beat Generation website
The perfect accompaniment to writing articles for Retro To Go, is music from the website Beyond The Beat Generation. The site bills itself as an archive of museum of “long forgotten 'wild' musical gems out of the great years of the sixties (1965-1969).”
They broadcast 24 hours a day and have a huge catalogue of underground, psychedelic and garage music from the Sixties, which apparently includes 67 versions of "Gloria" or 132 versions of "Hey Joe." As well as listening to some fantastic music, you can also read transcriptions of interviews with obscure bands, or look at photographs from that era.
To indulge in the full Sixties experience, visit Beyond the Beat Generation.
