Not so much an Art Deco house, Shenley in Burn Bridge, near Harrogate, North Yorkshire is more of a mansion.

At the very least, it's a large detached house, elevated in three acres of grounds in what's described as a 'highly sought after neighbourhood'. Indeed, this country pile even has its own indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, changing rooms and a tennis court, should you fancy owning your own sports club.

The interior doesn't really match up with the exterior. Indeed, if we were being kind (or being an estate agent), we would probably say it's in need of an update. But there's plenty of it, with a hall, garden room, cloakroom, sitting room, dining room, family room, snug, kitchen with an adjoining dining/breakfast area, larder, utility room, secondary cloakroom and a storage cellar on the lower level. Upstairs, there's a Landing, principal bedroom with a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom, guest bedroom with a small sitting area and an en-suite bathroom and a third double bedroom with a dressing area and an en-suite shower room.

Throw in those hefty gardens and a double garage and you've got your own little world in the country. All of which comes at a price – the agent is looking for offers around £1,650,000.
