Fancy owning a genuine robot? Well, if you have the money, you can own a very famous robot – the Lost In Space B-9 Robot, which is retailing at Hammacher Schlemmer.

yes, this is an exact copy of the robot made famous in the cult 1960s US TV series, standing over 6ft tall and reproduced from original archival moulds, patterns and blueprints. It's even remote-controlled, so you can let it loose to scare your friends half to death.

That remote will control a rotating torso and radar head, flashing lights, animated ear sensors, and clawed arms. The robot also has a soil sampler (complete with audible environmental analysis) and speaks 511 pre-recorded phrases via the built-in 240-watt audio system, all voiced by Richard Tufeld, the original voice of the robot from the television series.

Of course it's not cheap, selling for $24,500. But if you have money to burn and want sone fun…well, you know where to go.
