Guerlain's 1930s-style Rouge Automatique lipstick

ROUGEAUTOMATIQUE_100

Art Deco style looks as glamorous now as it must have done eighty plus years ago. So it's hardly surprising that Guerlain have gone back to that period as inspiration for its new Rouge Automatique lipstick.

The sleek gold case of the lipstick is based upon a 1936 model found in the Guerlain archive. Rather than the usual twist-up lippies, this one has an old-fashioned slide mechanism. The vintage style packaging is combined with modern cosmetic technology and the lipstick promises to be both hydrating and long-lasting. It's available in 25 different shades that are bound to look great upon your Deco-style dressing table

The lipsticks cost £24.50 and is available exclusively at Selfridges.
