Terry Posters – vintage film posters from Czech cinemas

Fortel300-oww
We’ve featured plenty of retro prints and posters recently, but if cinema is your thing and you want something a bit more unusual, have a look at Terry Posters.

Based in Prague, the site specialises in film posters originating from Czechoslovakia between 1930 and 1989. Whilst their stock does include a huge selection from Czech cinema, this also includes the artwork for international films shown in Czechoslovakia too. The site claims to have 10,000 posters, so you’ll need to set aside a good amount of time to look through the collection. You can browse by artist, director, actor, country or year of origin, genre or even by posters that feature guns, hearts or flowers. As they exist as an archive as well as shop, where they only have one of a print, it won’t be for sale, but there is still a lot of good stuff that is. The poster above for The Knack and How to Get It sells for 163 Euros, but I did spot some for as little as 15 Euros.

Visit Terry Posters to see their full stock.
