The current Postmodernism exhibition at the V&A is bound to be worth a look, but its the series of accompanying events that have really piqued my interest.

There are various events between October and December, with these being my highlights. The theme of the study day on 15 October is Designing the Decades: The 1980s. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore innovations in architecture, product design and fashion during this decade of ironic self awareness, ambiguity, irony and kitsch. On 29 October, there is Past, Present and Future: 25 Years of Wallpaper. Organised by the Wallpaper History Society, the event looks at how wallpaper is no longer seen as a mere backdrop, but is a hot topic for style commentators and historians. You can build your own retro game on 5 November at the Retro Gaming course, where you will create LED lighting patterns from scratch.
