It had good feedback in its first year in Goodwood, but rather more mixed reports in 2011, when the event headed to London's Southbank. So it will be interesting to see how the Vintage Festival will do at yet another new home in 2012 – Boughton House in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
The house itself stands in over 2000 acres of Grade I Listed parkland, manicured grounds, historic avenues of lime trees and carefully tended lawns, according to Vintage. The 17th Century landscapes and waterscapes have been restored, recreated and reacquainted with the park's originally planned architectural grandeur. But best of all, it's central too – with easy access from London, Manchester and Birmingham for example. Something you couldn't say about previous events.
As for the line-up, the organisers say Vintage will celebrate 'design, glamour and the Best of British', but so far, no details of who is on are available. But despite that, tickets are already on sale for the 2012 event, which specifically takes place at Boughton House, Boughton Park Geddington, Kettering in Northamptonshire, should you want to look it up on Google Maps.
Those tickets are £125 for non-camping weekend tickets or £139 if you want the camping tickets. Children up to the age of 10 are free, with 11 – 17 year olds able to pick up discounted tickets.
