Helsinkirug
Stockholm and Copenhagen regularly come up as design inspiration, but their Finnish counterpart isn’t celebrated as often which makes the Helsinki Carpet worth mentioning.

It was designed by Maria Dahlgren, whose distinctive style has been applied to other Scandinavian cities, London and the Tate. The hand-tufted wool rug has a pattern inspired by the buildings and landmarks of Helsinki. The design is described as art deco, although with its bright colours and simple shapes, I’d say it was more pop art. It is available in various sizes with a 200cm by 300cm size costing £3,790.
