Hopefully the weather will break and sun will come out on the Festival of Vintage in York, which takes place over the 28th and 29th April 2012.
Specifically, it takes place at York Racecourse in the city, offering everything from music and dance to fashion and homewares, covering vintage eras from the 1930s to the 1960s.
Get dressed up in your favourite era and check out music from Sincerely Yours, Madeline Brown & The Polka Dots, Lola Lamour, Jump Jive & Wail and Samantha Hughes & The Groovediggers, as well as Gramophone DJ sets. There's even dance lessons (including '40s jive), fashion parades, a vintage beauty parlour, classic vehicles, vintage cinema and for the more frugal of you, some 'make do and mend' workshops.
Of course, there's plenty of shopping too, with over 100 dealers selling fashion, ceramics, textiles, music, toys, furniture, books and magazines from the mid-20th century.
What's more, tickets are a lot cheaper than many of these kind of events. It's £6.50 per day or £11 for the weekend, with under-16s in for free (with an adult).
