Released to celebrate the high profile events in Britain this year (that’s the Jubilee and Olympics in case you were wondering), Alessi has created this Queen’s Guard Corkscrew.
Like the rest of Alessi’s ever expanding range of corkscrews this one is designed by Alessandro Mendini. The now familiar corkscrew man is dressed as a guard in a red uniform complete with a (synthetic) bearskin hat. It is a limited edition for 2012 with each one being numbered and initially only available in the UK. It costs £48.75.
