Not seen one of these up for auction for a while - and this is example of the Robin Day space age 4-4000 chair for Hille looks impressive at first glance.

Saying that, it looks a little different to one we featured before and indeed, one we own ourselves. Those chairs have a circular base rather than the legs on the foot on this chair. We can only presume this was a different option, as the frame of the chair, which is made from a solid plastic, looks right.

The 4-4000 was sold in Habitat back in the day, part of the Living Theme collection aimed at younger buyers. That shape, matched with the funky upholstery, probably tells you that.

As for condition, the one flaw pointed out is in regard to those cushions - 'as new' one one side, but there is a mark on the seat where 'something spilled', about 3 inch diameter. at the back of the cushion. So bear that in mind.
