With the sudden cancellation of the Vintage Festival, there seems to be a gap in the calendar for something similar. Perhaps the similarly-named Festival of Vintage at Epsom Racecourse can fill that gap. With reasonable entry prices, it just might.
The event takes place on Sunday 23rd September, offering you the chance to revel in the past, taking in music, dance and fashion from the 1930s to the 1960s, with prizes on offer for the best-dressed attendees.
There is also live music, DJs playing vintage sounds, free dance lessons (including jive, lindy hop, lindy and jitterbug), fashion parades, classic vehicle displays, vintage toys and furnishings and The Vintage Cinema, featuring a collection of quirky news items and 8mm home movies. Of course, plenty of shopping too, with over 100 dealers covering fashion, homeware and collectables.
Tickets are on sale now and are priced at £7.50 per adult, with children under 16 getting in free. It runs from 10am to 5pm and car parking is free. Find out more at the website and check out a promotional video below.
