If you've ever wanted to get up close with Dorothy's ruby slippers or ogle fineries worn by like likes of Marilyn Monroe or Marlene Dietrich, pencil the 20th October in your diaries for the opening of the V&A's Hollywood Costume exhibition.

This groundbreaking exhibition will contain some of the most famous costumes in Hollywood's 100 year history, from the silent era, through the studio system years and beyond, all the way up to the present day. Including over 100 different outfits, the exhibition examines the relationship between costume and filmmaking and how the clothes make the character. With rare & iconic pieces on show, from Breakfast At Tiffany's to Star Wars, this major exhibition is not to be missed.
