Midcentury Modern shows have graced these pages many times, but new this month, they join forces with the Tramshed and The Crafts Council to bring Design Junction 2012 to the London Design Festival.
Taking over a 1960s sorting office, the show features over 100 designers and dealers. Featured brands include anglepoise, Carl Hansen and Fritz Hansen. But even if you aren't in the market to buy any classic designer pieces, the show is still worth attending for anyone with an interest in design as they are offering a programme of events too. These include a 1930s-style cinema, Thonet demonstrating the wood bending process used to make their classic 214 chair and a range of debates and seminars – all free of charge.
Design Junction runs from 19 to 23 September. More details on the Design Junction website.
