To finish off the comprehensive Genius of Hitchcock season that's been running since July, the BFI London Film Festival will be hosting a gala screening of Hitchcock's 1929 silent film The Manxman.
The film was one of Hitchcock's last silent features before finding phenomenal success with "talkies" and shows just a glimpse of what he would go on to achieve as a filmmaker. For the true vintage experience the screening of this newly restored gem will also include live accompanying music. This event is sure to be a real treat for any vintage film enthusiast.
The gala screening will take place at the Empire Leicester Square cinema in London on 19th October. Tickets will be available online from the 24th September.
