Verner Panton 1960s Ball pendant light reissued

If you really want a statement light for your living room, they don't get much more 'statement' than this newly-reissued VerPan Ball pendant light by Verner Panton.

Another of the 'lost' reissues, this one originally dates back to 1969 and has all the impact you would expect from an overblown space age design of that era. Those silver balls are actually made of plastic, each one coloured in silver to create something that's both functional and ornamental.

Apparently it looks 'amazing' when hung in groups, but with a price of £778 for a single unit, few of us will be able to discover if that's true or not.
