Vintage couture auctions at Christie's from this November

Collectors and women's vintage fashion enthusiasts will be thrilled to here about the vintage couture auctions starting at Christie's from this November. 

Their first sale of vintage couture will be taking place on 29 November at 10.30am and will feature pieces by Jeanne Lanvin (shown above) and from Dior's New Look collection. Estimated starting prices for most pieces goes into the thousands but some are marginally cheaper, such as the yellow dress above with estimated price at £800. If you're lucky enough to be bidding, you can do so in person at their South Kensington auction house or online, where they'll have some extra choice pieces such as the famous Birkin and Kelly bags for sale too. 

For most of us though, the closest we'll get are the viewing dates: it's open to the public from the 24th to the 28th November.
