Alessi Atomium Egg Cups by Christian Ghion
As you might haves guessed, the Alessi Atomium Egg Cups by Christian Ghion are inspired by a rather famous European midcentury icon.
Yes, this is based on the Atomium in Brussels originally constructed for Expo '58, the 1958 Brussels World's Fair and designed by the engineer André Waterkeyn.
It has now been used as inspiration by Christian Ghion to create an egg cup in melamine, with a choice of yellow or white for the colours. Appropriately for eggs. £15 is the price of one.
