Mayor sofa by Arne Jacobsen
&tradition have delved back into the archives for their latest product: the Mayor sofa by Arne Jacobsen.
It's an early design by Jacobsen, dating to 1939, and has never actually been in production before. It's part of the designs for Søllerød Town Hall which Jacobsen worked on with Flemming Lassen. It seems a world away from the sleek modern lines of his later Egg and Swan seating, with a fairly traditional frame and buttoned high-backs. Should that appeal more to your aesthetic sensibilities, the sofa is available in a choice of four colours: black, light or dark grey or the yellow pictured.
A substantial price tag attached too: 4,449.00 € to be exact.
