Spejbl and Hurvínek Hand-made Marionettes
If you're looking for a traditional Christmas gift then you couldn't find anything more perfect or charming than these Spejbl and Hurvinek Hand-made Marionettes from Theo Theo.
These traditional Czech characters, a father and son, were originally invented by Josef Skupa in the 1920's and still have their own puppet theatre in Prague. Made by hand from wood and plaster with hand-painted features they are a beautiful example of a forgotten craft. Too nice (and too pricey) to be played with, they deserve to be prominently displayed instead.
Spejbl is 48cm tall and Hurvinek is 35cm and they cost £129 each from Theo Theo here.
