The iconic characters of the circus have a timeless appeal, especially when depicted as wittily as on this Strongman Cushion from Joules.
The Strongman is of the comically-mustachioed variety, shown on a deep red background flexing his ample muscles. He's a handsome fellow, with red cheeks, a smart centre-parting and luxuriant eyebrows. He's embroidered on to a 40cm cushion cover, the back of which is a big-top-esque red and white stripy fabric.
Technically he's part of a bedding collection for kids but he wouldn't look out of place on a stylish sofa.
