Vitra Eames RAR armchair by Charles & Ray Eames - limited edition in grey

Not just any old Vitra Eames RAR armchair by Charles & Ray Eames, this one is a limited edition, specifically in a limited edition shade of grey for the winter.

That shade is officially described as basalt grey, which covers the polypropylene shell, matched up with dark stained maple runners and a four-legged braced wire base.

Of course, it's a design classic too, dating from 1950 and first produced for the New York Museum of Modern Art 'Low Cost Furniture Design' competition. I think we can safely saw this design was a winner.
