Sale watch: John Lewis Clearance Sale now on - up to 50 per cent off

We're not posting our usual finds this week, we're too busy browsing the sales and as a result, pointing out any finds on here. The John Lewis Clearance Sale seems like a good place to start.

50 per cent off pretty much all categories (from fashion through to home and design), although that depends on getting lucky, as it's not everything for sale at the store. Plenty of 'special buys' too, which seem to be discounted prices on certain items and some 70 per cent discounts if you get really lucky.

One of those special buys is the super cool John Lewis Barbican II Large Sofa (above), which oozes midcentury style. You can now get it in two colours for £999. Below, you'll find the Ercol for John Lewis Chiltern 6-8 Seater Dining Table, which offers the same period look, but for less money. Usually £699, it is now marked down to £499.
