No, it isn't a Dansette. Then again, you are unlikely to get a Dansette for well under £50 – but you might get this 1960s Defiant portable record player for that price.
A lovely thing, especially in this bold orange shade, it probably dates from the '60s, but just might have sneaked into the early 1970s. Not that it matters, roughly that era.
It's described as being in working order, with an automatic and stackable turntable with speeds of 16, 33, 45 and 78. There's a slight problem with auto-start, but it sounds like it can be fixed easily enough. Some of the chrome is showing its age too, as would be expected.
If you can live with that, the price is a very tasty £36 right now.
