Royal Doulton and Pop Art aren't usually two terms I'd associate with each other. But this new range of Paolozzi plates are inspired by one of the forefathers of British Pop Art.
That's Eduardo Paolozzi of course, and anyone who has seen his mosaics at Tottenham Court Road tube station or in Redditch town centre will testify to the his love of colour and pattern. That's been used to the full on these bone china plates: each featuring multiple shades of a different colour and contrasting and clashing grids of shapes.
The patterns have been used across mugs and espresso cups, as well as the plates, so you can really jazz up your kitchenware.
