Blue leaf mug by Kate Clarke

Kate clarke blue leaf mug

Kate Clarke is a contemporary designer whose work is influenced by 1950s, Japanese and Scandinavian design. You can see how that comes together on her blue leaf mug

The mug is decorated with a colourful design of leaves and seedheads, very much in the 50s design vocabulary (meaning it would great on a shelf next to Michelle Mason's seedpod mug). The very simple blue and yellow colour scheme adds its impact, or try the pink and green combination for another take on the look.

There's plenty more colourful flower and plant life to be seen in her shop which includes trays, place mats and tea towels, as well as more mugs.

The mugs cost £9 each.
