It seems like crafting is slowly taking over from baking as the hip thing to be doing right now – so these Hemingway Design vintage-style sewing bags at John Lewis will certainly find a market.

Take your pick from three designs covering three decades – the '50s, '60s or 1970s. Grace is the 1950s bag (above), featuring plastic red handles and a cotton canvas outer bag. It also includes one inner pocket for storage.

Twiggy, as you might have guessed, is the 1960s entry, with coloured wooden handles and five inner pockets, while Freida is inspired by the 1970s, also with coloured wooden handles plus seven inner pockets for storing all your sewing and knitting accessories.

There are also add-ons for each design available too, with prices for all the range falling between £7 and £25 (for the bags).
