Inspired by their recent exhibition which featured some of the most glamorous
dresses in their collection, the V&A have embarked on a collaboration with
another purveyor of great frocks to create the V&A Ballgowns
Collection from Coast.
These
dresses are the stuff of fantasy, suitable only for red carpet events. The
Limited Edition Phoebe Dress features a structured
strapless organza bodice with layers of tulle to create a full, flowing skirt.
The internal construction of the dress was inspired by 50's couture patterns and
the finished result is a genuine slice of old world glamour.
