Vintage cameras are still a popular buy on eBay, but I would guess not many people are picking up old film and movie cameras to upcycle for another purpose. That's why Neil Shy picks them up.
Check out is Etsy site to see a variety of old camera reworked as lighting for the home, which doubles up their use for both light and for some pretty cool and quirky home decor.
Two examples are shown here, the Sanyko Super 8 Camera Light on mini tripod and the Polaroid Job Pro, reworked as a desk lamp with colourful cord and stand, selling for £121.48 and £163.13 respectively.
