One of the more unusual Verner Panton reissues of late is the VerPan 1970s Spion wall or ceiling light, although it's ideal for anyone looking for something special and space age for a room.

Not that it comes cheap – this is showpiece lighting with a price to match. It's also a hemispherical metallised shade which fixes directly to the wall or ceiling. When illuminated, it gives off a weird red glow, the kind of glow that would have really set off a hipster's pad back in 1971.

This substantial light (50cm x 26cm) can set off you're hip pad too, but you'll have to find a whopping £1,105 to secure one.
