Not much is known about it, but this HausDesign 1960s modernist multi-light fitting is certainly an eye-catching piece.
It's just very unusual. According to the seller, it comes from either Germany or Denmark, with the period given being between the mid-1950s and 1960s. We suspect the latter of those years – this has more than a touch of the space age about it.
The seller says it is nice original condition with some traces of use and functioning fine, as you can see above. What he doesn't tell us (as you can see below) is that the light fitting seems to use a pulley system to drop the height of the light – very clever and useful. Looks great with those larger bulbs too. Wish we kew what it was made of – looks like polished wood, but you'll need to contact the seller to confirm.
What we do know is that the light is at £289.59 on a 'Buy It Now' which sounds a lot, but you'll be lucky to see one again in a hurry.
