Matassa midcentury-style shelving by Miniforms

The company has been making its furnishings in Meolo, near Venice since the 1970s. Indeed, these Matassa midcentury-style shelving units by Miniforms could be from that era or earlier at first glance.

The truth is that the shelves are actually contemporary pieces. But in a midcentury-styled environment, these would work a treat. That's down to the distinctive mix of powder-coated steel and walnut wood, with a clever design that dispenses with the familiar parallel structure, going for the diagonal for the supports.

Two sizes, both discounted at Monoqi right now, selling from €514.
