English Eccentrix is a range by Royal Stafford that has the aim of bringing a new generation of designers to market. That range includes some cool pieces by Carly Dodsley that definitely display a retro influence.
We've actually featured Dodsley's designs before – you may well remember her 50s-style cocktail coasters. Well, her diamonds design definitely has a 50s flavour too – it's just more Lucienne Day than Americana. As can be seen in the plate pictured, the pattern uses a sketchy design, with diamonds and circular forms that look like they could have come from a Day textile. The pattern is available on bowls, mugs and plates, all made in the Royal Stafford factory.
